Sup to Srt provides a free, browser-based tool for converting PGS/SUP subtitle files to SRT format using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). All file processing occurs locally in your browser. No files are uploaded to our servers.
3. Use of the Service
Permitted Use
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial, and commercial purposes. You may convert subtitle files that you own or have rights to process.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process content you do not have the right to use
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the Service code without permission
- Use automated means to scrape or access the Service in ways that could harm its performance
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
4. Intellectual Property
The Sup to Srt website, code, and content are the property of Sup to Srt. The Tesseract OCR engine used by this service is open-source software licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
You retain full ownership of any files you process using the Service. We do not claim any rights to your subtitle files.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- OCR conversion results will be accurate or complete
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
Use of the Service and reliance on conversion results is at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sup to Srt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
